| Baseball America ranked Hornback the 65th best prospect in Texas. At least some scouts seem to like his glove and BA characterized his defensive skills as solid. He was an average hitter on his team in both years at San Jacinto North. He had a commitment to Mississippi, but he signed at the end of June, which probably indicates he didn’t get much above slot.
2011 Didn’t do much at the plate in the GCL beyond putting up good walk and K numbers. He threw out 22% of base stealers. Hornback could move up to State College in 2012 or return to the GCL. |
